Christmas, Pioneers, Resources, Baby #2
¡Hola / Hello!
A belated happy new year. Here is our first newsletter for the year.
Christmas
We were able to spend almost three weeks holidaying in Tasmania over Christmas. It was nice to relax and catch up with family and friends.
Priscila was greatly spoiled by all the family, especially since it was her first Christmas.
We returned to Melbourne early January, and have settled back into 'normal' life again.
Pioneers
We are still in the application process for joining Pioneers. This process was slowed significantly due to the holiday season.
Currently, we are awaiting interviews (February 20) and psychology reports in order to be 'accepted' by Pioneers.
Our vision is then put forward to the members of our church for acceptance. It is a lengthy process, but a necessary one, as we need all the support and procedures to be in place to ensure we are successful in our call.
Resources
Some goals have been met over the past few weeks of waiting: we have put together a promotional video giving an insight into our future plans.
Pioneers have also arranged for prayer cards and response slips to be printed.
If we have not yet provided you with these and you wish to have some, please let us know!
The Future
We continue to work towards our move to Mexico. In early March, we will travel to Brisbane for 1 week to visit family and friends. We will then return to Melbourne, but we are unsure about when we will move overseas.
We recently found out that Priscila will have a little sibling later this year (around September). This news is exciting, yet unexpected, and we are currently not sure how it will fit into the big plan of moving to Mexico.
The Velasquez family, whom we would be closely working with, are planning on leaving the US for Puerto Escondido in early March. Our options would be to join them shortly after if our support is sufficient and in place, or to postpone the trip until after the baby is born.
Please pray with us for clear guidance, especially for the timing of our move. We hope to have a clearer idea of our moves next time we write.
