Many sites now are using frames to create supposedly easier to navigate sites. I don't believe that this is true as the sites that use frames are often limiting their audience to those who have larger screens. Many of these badly designed sites have navigation buttons on the left in a frame that doesn't expand when the screen is smaller so are therefore preventing some users from seeing all the needed links. An example of this is http://www.netweek.com.au. I suggest then that a designer doesn't use frames unless it is essential (which mostly it is not).

If you are stuck for ideas when you are creating your next website, then simply surf the web for a while and when you come across something you like, look at the source and see if you can do something similar. You don't have to be an expert; just look at expert sites and use them for ideas. (Remember: don't steal; It is best to write/make all you own material and images to avoid any future complications.)
