Have completed the first week of my last term at college. The normal programme starts this coming week and should be all over in about 10 weeks. My Mum celebrated her birth yesterday, but since she was away with Dad on business, I didn't get to talk with her until today. Yesterday in the arvo I watched the Brisbane Lions win the AFL against Essendon. Tonight I reckon Newcastle will bet the Parramatta in the ARL grand final.

Had a RAD time at the Paul Colman Trio last night. If they are playing near you in coming weeks, then make sure you get along and check them out. They played for about 2 hours straight and all the songs were quality. I didn't know them or their music before, but they sure did leave a postive impression.

I am now back at college and it isn't too bad. We have 13 new people with us this week, as they have come to take a peek for the week. Hopefully they will come back to study in years to come.

I have heaps to do in the next few weeks. I have been blessed with an easy set of duties so getting the time to do the work has now available more than normal - thanks God!

This week is a bit different to normal also as we are having the second week of an intensive course about cross-cultural communication. This gives us heaps of homework but at least it is quite interesting.

Got to last Sunday and it seemed to go well. I like getting gigs like this as I can share what God has been teching me and prompting me to communicate to others. I even got invited out for lunch after the service to someones house, and nearly all the youth came too. Was stocked to see the enthusiam that many had for missions etc.

Well after a GREAT time with Vanessa, I was able to leave and get back to Tassie. I sure don't want to be here anymore but know that it is where I am supposed to be at present. We had so much fun and got to know each other so well. We had so much in common, that we were both pleasantly suprised. At this stage I am hopeing to live in Melbourne next year. No more long distance relationships for me!

I have also finished two weeks of holidays and not much work has been done. I am preaching on Sunday up a Devonport Church of Christ in the morning to a regular congreagtion of about 200. My biggest preaching assignment yet. I well be re-presenting my talk about Mexico entitled "What on earth are you doing?". I have a large photo collection about my time away that I will show during the sermon.

Next week we are back to classes and will be joined by about 15 visitors who are coming to see what college is like as part of the colleges "Peek Week". Hopefully some if not all will come to get trained in the not too distant future. After the first week we are back into a normal program and then preparing for the exams and completeing the mountains of assignments before graduation in December. Much to do so better get to it.

Holidays are supposed to be a relaxing time so I have been making the most of it. I have had a few sleep in and rests throughout the day. I did get a phone call at 6am while I was house sitting my pastors house (I am now at Evandale) telling me to watch the TV. I did turn the box on and saw the drama that has been unfolding int the US. It is horrific and words can't describe the trauma that people would be going through. As I write this a few more survivors have jsut been found so that is excellent. Some saddests have been celebrating the deaths and the attack - how they do this one will never know or understand.

I am still off to Melbourne for this weelend. I am excited but Vanessa is even more. She has been in constant contact over the past few days... I can't wait to see and be with her again. I will be crashing at her place - along with her brother and his wife. They were supposed to have already left but got their dates mixed up and so are around for another week.

The college assignments are coming along (slowly). I have a better idea of what I need to do by when. The hard part is just dong them. I hope that the holiday this weekend will revitalise me enough to come back and knock a few over before the end of the break. I also have a sermon to do a the end of the month, but this shouldn't be too hard or demanding.

I am having a good holiday. I am for 2 days house sitting my pastors house then I am off to do the same for another friend from church. I worked with this friend today by planting trees for a few hours. I am still working on some assignments but will take a break over the weekend to visit Vanessa in Melbourne. God supplied me with the cash and the cheap tickets so that we can hangout for a few days. I/we are very much looking forward to the weekend. I haven't been to Melbourne before really, so it will be quite a new experience.

Last night I was GOOD. I have been corresponding with Vanessa Misdom for the past few weeks and thanks to free phone calls on OPTUS mobile, we were able to chat for many hours. She was able to come from Melbourne (where she is in her third year of OT) to Launceston last weekend, and we had some time on a few occasions to hangout. Together we will (and this includes God) see where the relationship goes in time. Atleast until I finish my studies at the end of this year we will be living in separate sitties and will need to make use of written correspondence and phone calls.

I had a great weekend and did much of the usual. No visits to the snow, but a highlight was cathing up a with a old/new friend who is around for a few days. Chuch was good and it is a blessing to be involved in a growing community. I am looking forward to the holidays which start this coming Friday. Before that we as third year students have heaps on since we are doing an intensive course on cross-cultural communication, aptly presented by the college principal Ron Perschky.

On Friday arvo I had to fork out for a new mobile phone. I signed up for a new contract but didn't have to pay a cent for a great new (latest model) Motorola. I turned it off in church like good boy but then didn't type in the unlock code correct 3 times so got the thing blocked. Thankfully I was able to get it unblocked this morning. Oh the fun we have with technology.

This morning I went an helped my mate Bretto attach a data projector to his churches hall for youth group. On the way home from town I stopped via the bike shop and grabbed a new tube and tyre for my bike; it got a puncture the other day so I have been walking (which I hate doing!). It is all fixed now.

I got back in time for class but the viisting lecturer didn't show so I made my self busy other ways. Straight after lunch I headed back into town and chatted with a young guy about the Church Of Christ web site that he is overseeing. We got a few things done and the site should be looking switch before too long. I did the few changes tonight and have emailed them off.

On the way home from town I stopped via Harvey Norman's and grabbed (actually bought) a new mobile phone. My old ones' display stopped working properly a while ago and it has taken me this long to get so annoyed that I would upgrade. I went up a plan but didn't pay anything for the nice new small as Motorola V3688. Not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow. Nothing if I don't go to be now though!
