What have I been doing in recent days

My time of living in Tasmania is nearly to close. I leave for a surf camp tomorrow and will be going straight from it to Devonport to catch the boat back to Australia/Melbourne on Tuesday night and then Vanessa and I will drive back to Queensland by Saturday.

The Christmas do last night was good. A little different to what I was used to but still a very nice evening. I ate and drank heaps and then after the late evening meal, we all watched some old video footage of the Misdoms of when they were in Spain. (Vanessa has been a cutie for all her life!) After playing a card game until midnight, we then opened the many presents. I and everyone else got heaps. Vanessa gave me a Mid Night Oils CD and a photo of herself in a nice frame. I gave her a timber jewleery box that I had been making over the past few days. She loved it!! as did I her present.

Merry Christmas - and have a GREAT new year. I will be having Christmas eve with Vanessa's parents at their house. Not sure what we will do on Christmas day - no doubt it will be a nice day!!

The holidays are going good. I am living at Brett and Melinda's and hanging out with Vanessa most days. I do have some work to do but this is coming along slowly since I am keen for a holiday.

Yep it is done. I have graduated. I now have an Advanced Diploma in Intercultural Studies. Also I received the Principals Award for work done on the college web site. It was a great day and one that I will not forget in a hurry. It was also great to have so many family and friends in attendance.
I am off to church with Ness and my parents today and then back for lunch at Vanessa's parents house. I will be moving out of college later this afternoon and will live with in Launceston until we leave on January 1.

Today is the day I graduate. It has been 3 years in the making/coming and finally it is here. It feels GREAT!! I have enjoyed my time here and yet know it is time to move on. I have like learning but am keen to get out and use the information. I have already got a few gigs with youth camps and will be wanting more opportunities next year. There is no point learning if you don't use it.
Vanessa has now completed her 5 weeks of prac so too is on holidays. We are looking forward to hanging out over the summer - although she might have to repeat one exam. She is a great girl and I appreciate her in every way.
I also got a nice suprise today. I collected Mum and Dad from the airport and took them to my pretend Aunty's house where Roz already was. I didn't think she was coming so it was good to see all three family members. We had lunch and then enjoyed chatting and watching a video of my nephew Ben Stay.
Work wise I have a stack of design work to get done. This should/will keep me busy for the next while. Next week will be a wipe out as I am off to speak at a camp for high school students and then will attend a wedding in Hobart on the Saturday. (It is great though not to have college assignments to hand in.)
Vanessa and I will be catching the boat back to Melbourne on January 1 and then should be back in Queensland within a few days. Until leaving for my well earned holiday, I will be staying with Brett and Melinda Rutherford here in Launceston.

Only one week to go - and counting. Looking forward to having my parents come on Friday for a few days. Over the weekend we had a good time concreteing on Saturday and church on Sunday. After all of those assignments I am now a man of few words. Just come on Saturday and holidays!!
