Met and married in under a year
G'day friends. We are Mike and Vanessa Allbutt who are currently living in Melbourne but plan to live in Puerto Escondido soon.

Within a year we were married. We met while Mike was at Bible college in Tasmania and Vanessa was there visiting some friends and her parents.
That original carpark incident was the initial spark that got the flame going, and then the bush fire ablaze. We agreed to tie the knot on Valentines day of 2002 and were wed on June 8 2002.
Life since the wedding has been great! We have both thoroughly enjoyed the change of life. A few normal adjustments have gone smoothly and life as a happy married Christian couple is steaming along well.
In recent years Vanessa was working as an Occupational Therapist but after maternity leave due to the arrival of baby Priscila Ann she has resigned from paid work.
The coming years will see Vanessa working at home as a mum, Mike as a carpenter in Melbourne and building web sites, and us preparing to move to Mexico where we expect to work with Christian Surfers in Puerto Escondido, hopefully arriving in October 2007.
In preparation to moving to work in Mexico, we are actively involved in ministry at Diamond Valley Baptist church and for a few years were on a Victorian missions promotions committee called gO!.
