Met and married in under a year
G'day friends. We are Mike and Vanessa Allbutt who are currently living in Puerto Escondido Mexico. Before this we were livng in Melbourne Australia.

Within a year we were married. We met in the carpark while Mike was at Bible college in Tasmania and Vanessa was there visiting some friends and her parents.
That original carpark incident was the initial spark that got the flame going, and then the bush fire ablaze. We agreed to tie the knot on Valentines day of 2002 and were wed on June 8 2002.
Life since the wedding has been great! We have both thoroughly enjoyed the change of life. A few normal adjustments have gone smoothly and life as a happy married Christian couple is steaming along well.
In recent years Vanessa was working as an Occupational Therapist but after maternity leave due to the arrival of Priscila she resigned from paid work. Our next child and first son Joel arrived the year after.
The following years saw Vanessa working at home as a mum, Mike as a carpenter in Melbourne and building web site designs, and us preparing to move to Mexico where we planned to work with Christian Surfers in Puerto Escondido. This dream is being in Mexico came to fulfilment when we arrived in October 2007.
In preparation for moving to work in Mexico, we were actively involved in ministry at Diamond Valley Baptist church and for a few years were on a Victorian missions promotions committee called gO!. Every week we also connected with the local group of Christian Surfers in Melbourne.
