When I was 4 years old, I and my family moved up to Brisbane from the WEC centre in Sydney.
Dad and mum were had been working with WEC for a few years and dad using his background in the printing industry, was running the WEC Australia printing department.
Initially we lived here on the WEC property but with more families moving in we ended up renting at a few different properties around the area.
After some time, WEC decided that it would be better and was necessary to build some new homes for the state staff and the many visitors who come and need to stay.
The original plan had 5 but only 4 town house style units were needed and therefore built.
I lived here in this unit from 1987 until I moved away to the Gold Coast in 1996. My folks, after I moved out rearrange the rooms so my old bedroom now became dad's study. Oh well, at least I had roof over my head unlike many others in the world.
My folks have since moved to their own house in the northern suburbs of Brisbane.
